Abstract
The article gives a brief overview of "postindustrial society" theories suggested by J.K. Galbraith, P.Drucker. L. Thurow, D. Bell, M. Castells, A. Toffler, R. Heilbroner, J. Baudrillard, F. Fukuyama and others. Based on above mentioned theories, the article represents the original postindustrial consumer model, which includes thirteen general consumer types, and reviews the influence of each single type on the economy and the society. Significant attention is paid to consumer-individualist type - widely-distributed and most powerful, according to authors opinion, consumer type of the future.
