Abstract
Globalization progress has given birth to a caunter-reaction of International regions: movements to consolidate their economic territory are gaining pace, many new regional integration groupings sprang to life. Vast space at the heart of Eurasian continent-Eurasia, whose boarders are approximately identified with those of the former Russian Empire and the Soviet Union did not remain outside this phenomenon. However its regional integration potential is, under present economic situation, nearly exhausted while the consolidation processes's rate falls behind general global and regional trends. That's why Eurasia remains a peripherial structure which has rather to adapt to the outside world than to act reciproucally, on a cooperation basis. Eurasia's international competitiveness is abating, the gap between comparatively developed and less developing countries widens. There is a chance to enter the path of sustainable, growth and strengthen consolidation and integration activities in the region because of accompanying interests in the three spheres-growth of intraregional trade, modernization and diversification of national economies, and creation of a powerful regional economic structure able to fulfill these strategical tasks. Most important part in realizing this unifying Eurasian project belongs to Russia and regional integration structures with her participation, in first instance to the Customs Union and EAEC (Eurasian Economic Community). Russia's system of bilateral economic relations with other CIS countries can also to be a valuable contribution to this strategical project.
