- Abstract
- In the volatile commodity market conditions, there is the threat of the stability of Russia's economic development. Economic modernization is designed to avoid this dependence through the implementation of instruments, including the transformation of industrial structure of the economy. As an alternative to oil dependence in the article the tourism sector considered. A comparison of actual and potential revenues of the two sectors calculated. We propose an answer to the question of to what extent the development of the service sector (tourism segments) can substitute for income from the sale of oil and gas in 2020.
