- Abstract
- The concept of the base layer as possible alternative to middle class in Belarusian society is developed theoretically and proved empirically. On the materials of statistics and the results of sociological research the condition and tendencies of a base layer development are analyzed. It is revealed, that base layer replaces middle class on quantitative parameters. However it cannot apply for middle class role as agent of scientific, technical and social progress. It is shown, that decision of transition from the base to the top layers problem is connected with worthy payment of skilled work and constant perfection of personnel qualification.
