- This article discusses the need for the rankings of Russian institutions of higher education in scientific directions and educational programs. Provides an overview of the current rankings of the effectiveness of university educational programs and specialties, discusses their advantages and disadvantages. Is formulated the proposals for creation of specialized rankings in the leading universities of Russia.
