Abstract
He article analyses legal status of industry self-regulatory ombudsmen including financial, telecommunications, energy and other ombudsmen, their role in the dispute resolution mechanism and in the customer protection mechanism. These ombudsmen are considered as additional remedy in relation to court proceedings. The perspectives of their developing as a form of alternative dispute resolution are shown.
