Abstract
Adaptation of J. Mayer P. Salovey and D. Caruso Emotional Intelligence test (MSCEIT V. 2.0) on a sample of students of humanitarian, technical institutes of higher education and military schools of Moscow and Perm (n = 638 per.) is presented. Psychometric evaluation of Russian-language variant of the test is done. Test's structural (factor) validity and underlie theoretical models were analyzed by means of confirmatory factor models in LISREL program. Consistency of scales was tested by means of exploratory factor analysis. Validity, criterial reliability and possibility of test's standardization are discussed. The results of psychometric verification revealed satisfactory characteristics of Russian-language version, sufficient; for its utilization for research purposes. Problem areas for test's future adaptation and validization are revealed.
