Abstract: On October 26, 2016 the round table «The Ending of the Cold War: Discussions, Facts, Lessons.» took place at the Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The round table was organized by the Center for the Study of the Cold War of the Institute of World History. The following questions were discussed: "Did the" cold war "end?"; "The periodization and reasons for the end of the cold war"; "The legacy of the Cold War and modern international relations". The materials were prepared by the Head of the Center for the Study of the Cold War of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor of History. N. I. Yegorova.
