Abstract
The question of possibility of creation of the transnational free investments zones (FIZ) regardless of development of other forms of interstate cooperation, including free trade zones is raised. There are shown the new tendencies in development of the world economy, allowing to speak about emergence of a new regionalism and the possibility of creating FIZ not only in the traditional regional integration, but also between different regions and countries without common borders. Benefits, which can bring FIZ, especially for medium and small business, are analyzed. There are also designated problems, which can appear when forming FIZ.
