Abstract
By the example of L.N. Tolstoy's novel "Anna Karenina" the mechanism of psychological distortion in the in the reader's perception of literary work personage is examined. Main novel's plotlines are discussed using psychoanalytical concepts of fundamental instances of the psyche.
